    Great post! Brands who embrace the idea that "free" is just another price point absolutely put themselves at an advantage over old school dinosaur marketers.

    On the same topic, Malcolm Gladwell just wrote up a great review in the New Yorker of Anderson's new book "Free: The Future of Radical Price" that is worth the read.

    Kaitlin - great comments, and I appreciated the continuity of concept provided by the Oscar Meyer Weiner Van- more than 50 years of freebies, for the pre or post-twitter set, do they still give free Oscar Meyer Weiner Whistles?

    Ya know that's a good question Jim, Oscar Mayer certainly were the pioneers of the idea. Carrot did some cool stuff with them a few months ago and even got to ride around Times Square in the Wiener mobile- whistles included!
